01The wine
Rieslings from the Wehlener Sonnenuhr are famous for elegance, balance and longevity. The grey slate gives them a clear mineral note, the south-westerly exposure fully ripe grapes.
02The sundial
The vineyard owes its name to the sundial that Jodocus Prüm (1807–1876) had set into the slate rock in 1842. It told the time to those working in the vineyard and is today a landmark of the Moselle, visible far across from the Wehlen bank. More about its builder: jodocus.de.
