Topic 02 / 06 — The family tree
Sixbranches,one root
The six children of Mathias Prüm (1819–1900) and Katharina Pauly gave rise to the six branches of today's family — and with them to the estates that bear the name.
Today's Prüm wine family traces itself to the six children of Mathias Prüm (1819–1900) and Katharina Pauly. Each child founded a branch from which estates and family lines descend to this day.

Mathias Prüm was born in 1819 and died in 1900. He was a grower in Wehlen and owned vines in some of the best sites of the Middle Moselle. His marriage to Katharina Pauly laid the foundation of the six branches.
